Recently, I have been shooting a little time-lapse video for the moto side of my life. I put together this 30 second video of some work I recently had the pleasure of watching a hero of mine apply to my most recent moto build.
I have yet to find a creative person who does not have a second, third, or fourth passion. I have admitted to as much myself in one of these posts. In my other life, I have started building motorcycles. This site is the internet home of that passion. The site is responsive and in addition to designing the branding and ID system it also features my photography work. You can visit the site at www.otherlifecycles.com
In 2013 I didn’t have a beard, and I hadn’t ever helped a University launch a brand campaign. Brand campaigns and re-brands are a little like space exploration. You know you want to go into that dark atmosphere-lacking void over there, but you are going to need a ship that can handle the journey and carry the cargo. I have been fortunate in my experience to have helped to launch a few brands for some large and small retail clients but this was definitely a voyage to another planet compared to those adventures.
While at UNT I got to manage this thing I helped create through this “little” website we built to provide our staff the resources they need to support this effort at UNT. The best part was I got to help people learn how to use it appropriately and provide a little bit of guidance on good design as well. It is the thing I like most about my time at UNT.

Motion graphics is something I dabbled in early in my career. I have recently come back to it and have had the pleasure of working with and guiding our team at UNT to develop a few projects to help support recruiting efforst at UNT. This transfer video is one of my favorites.
I did all of the illustration and got to collaborate with a group of funny and talented people.
My hat is off to my team for all the hard work to make this a reality.
